Millennium Blades simulates playing a fictional collectible card game with friends. You buy, sell, and trade cards while building decks and competing in tournaments. Success comes from smart market speculation, strategic collection-building, and tournament victories. The game progresses from local to world championships, with players earning points through trading profits and competition wins to become champion.

Get Ready

Setup the game with these step-by-step instructions before diving into your turn.

Prepare player boards
All players flip their player boards to the Deckbuilding side for the deckbuilding phase, or Tournament side for tournament phase

Combine cards into binder
Gather all player cards together into the Binder area

Stock the store
Place the top 9 cards of the store face-down into the Store Area

Distribute sell markers
Make sure each player has all of their 4 Sell Markers

Clear metagame cards
Discard any previously revealed Metagame cards out of play

Reveal NPC options
Deal 2 NPC cards face up next to the NPC deck

Tournament deck requirements
A legal Tournament Deck contains up to eight Singles, up to one Deck Box, and up to two Accessories

Set ranking points
Set current RP to zero using the 3 colored cubes

Place accessories
Set out Accessories (max 2) and Deck Box (1) onto tournament board; Singles remain in your hand
10
Determine first player
Turns begin with the player placed highest in the previous tournament, or whoever most recently opened a booster pack in real life if tied or first game round

On Your Turn

What you can do during your turn.

Build your deck
Assemble cards into your tournament deck following deck construction rules

Make a collection
Prepare one collection per deckbuilding phase, turned in at the end of the phase

Buy from store
Purchase a pack from the Store and replace it with the top card of the store deck

Fuse for promos
Put 5/7/9 cards into Store Discard to take one bronze/silver/gold Promo card

Sell to aftermarket
Receive money worth the card's star value and place your sell marker on the card

Buy from aftermarket
Pay the star value of a card and return the sell marker to its owner

Gain NPC card
Discard listed cards and place your sell marker next to the NPC deck

Trade with players
Execute even trades based on star values, making up differences with money or friendship cards

Observe deck limit
You may only have one copy of any card in your deck

Accept mistakes
Players are not allowed to correct their mistakes; making mistakes is part of the game

Use an action (optional)
Perform the text on a card with "Action:" keyword, then flip it face-down; one action per turn, before or after playing a Single

Play a single (required)
Place a Single face-up in the next open left-most slot of your Tableau

Resolve play effects
Activate immediately when a card comes into play

Apply next effects
Trigger on the next card you play regardless of slot

Trigger flip effects
Activate when a card is flipped face-down

Maintain ongoing effects
Work continuously as long as the card is face-up in your tableau

Check top effects
Work as long as the card is the right-most face-up card in your tableau

Use reaction effects (optional)
Activate when the relevant condition is met, then flip the card
19
Handle face-down cards
These have no Star Rating, Element, or Type but still count as cards; they cannot be flipped face-up again
20
Resolve clashes
Each player reveals the top card of the Store, adds that Star Rating to their Top Card's Star Rating; highest total wins, ties result in no winner

Earn ranking points
Accumulate RP throughout tournaments tracked with colored cubes

Score end effects
Activate Score effects during the end of the tournament

Receive prize support
At tournament end, each player receives a random promo card (Bronze for Round 1, Silver for Round 2, none for Pre-Release)
4
Track tournament placement
Player rankings determine turn order for subsequent tournaments
5
Earn friendship points
Help friends during gameplay to earn valuable Friendship Points
