Sushi Go Party!

2-8 players 20-20 min 7.4 Board Game Geek Rating

Players draft sushi cards to create scoring combinations in this expanded party version. Choose from over twenty different dish types to customize each game's menu. Select cards simultaneously, pass hands around the table, and earn points through various sushi combos. The player with the highest score wins. Accommodates up to eight players.

Get Ready

Setup the game with these step-by-step instructions before diving into your turn.

Place the game board

Put the game board in the center of the playing area

Choose player colors

Each player selects a color and places their corresponding pawn on or near the 0 space on the score track

Organize cards by type

The first time you play, divide all cards according to type and place each type in a slot in the box

Select cards for the game

Together, decide which cards to use from preset menus (My First Meal, Sushi Go!, Party Sampler, Master Menu, Points Platter, Cutthroat Combo, Big Banquet, Dinner for Two) or create your own combination

Note player restrictions

Menu and Special Order may not be used in 7-8 player games; Spoon and Edamame may not be used in 2 player games

Place menu tiles

Find the menu tiles corresponding to chosen cards and place them in appropriate slots on the game board

Flip maki roll tile if needed

When playing with maki rolls in a 6-8 player game, flip its menu tile to show 6-8 player scoring

Prepare dessert cards

Shuffle the chosen dessert cards and place them in a face-down pile beside the board

Create the main deck

Shuffle all other chosen card sets together to form a face-down deck near the board

On Your Turn

What you can do during your turn.

Start each round by adding desserts

Shuffle dessert cards into the main deck based on player count and round number

Deal cards to players

Deal face-down cards based on player count: 2-3 players get 10 cards, 4-5 players get 9 cards, 6-7 players get 8 cards, 8 players get 7 cards

Choose a card simultaneously

All players select 1 card from their hand and place it face-down in front of them

Reveal chosen cards

When all players are ready, everyone turns their chosen card face-up

Pass remaining cards

After revealing, pass your remaining hand face-down to the player on your left

Organize your played cards

Group face-up cards together in columns by color as you accumulate them

Use Chopsticks for bonus action

On any turn after playing Chopsticks, call out "Chopsticks!" during reveal to play a second card from your hand, then place Chopsticks back in your hand to pass

Use Spoon for bonus action

On any turn after playing Spoon, call out "Spoon!" during reveal, announce any card name, and the first player to your left with that card gives it to you; give them the Spoon card

Resolve special card actions immediately

Certain cards have immediate effects during the turn:

Resolve card order conflicts

When multiple bonus actions or immediate-effect cards are used in the same turn, resolve them by the small number in the lower-right corner, lowest first

End the round

When all cards have been played, set dessert cards aside until game end, then score all other cards and move pawns on the score track

Prepare for next round

Collect all non-dessert cards, reshuffle them with new dessert cards, and deal for the next round
