Sagrada

1-4 players 30-45 min 7.5 Board Game Geek Rating

Players draft colorful dice to build stained glass windows on gridded boards with placement restrictions. Same-colored or same-valued dice cannot touch adjacent spaces. Draft order rotates each round, with players selecting dice snake-style. Special tools help bend rules using skill tokens, becoming costlier after use. Score points through pattern completion and hidden objectives. Highest-scoring window wins.

Get Ready

Setup the game with these step-by-step instructions before diving into your turn.

Choose a Starting Player

Select one player to begin the first round

Insert Window Patterns

Each player inserts a Window Pattern card into their Player Board (player's choice or chosen from 2 random insert cards)

Distribute Favor Gems

Each player receives favor gems equal to the number shown on the bottom right dot of their window pattern, plus one player marker

Deal Private Objectives

Each player receives one Private Objective card (gray dice back) from either the 5 original color cards, 6 expansion cards, or a mix of both sets

Set Up Private Dice Wheels (optional)

If using this variant, each player gets one wheel and 2 dice of each color (roll and place in wheel)

Place Game Tracker Board

Position the 10-round Game Tracker board near the center of the table

Set Up Tool Cards

Place 3 Tool Cards face up in the center

Set Up Public Objectives

Place 3 Public Objective cards (blue die back) face up in the center of the table

Fill the Dice Bag

Add dice based on player count and game variant:

What you can do during your turn.

Roll Public Dice Pool

Starting player rolls dice based on player count (Original: 5/7/9/11/13 dice for 2-6 players; Private Wheels: 3/4/5/6/7 dice)

Take Available Actions

Each player may perform up to three actions in any order (none required):

Follow Placement Restrictions

When placing any die:

Complete the Round

After all players take one turn with private dice wheels, the round ends; otherwise, play continues in reverse order for a second turn per player

Store Remaining Dice

Place all leftover public dice on the Game Tracker Board on the current round number (stack if multiple dice)

Pass Starting Player

The player to the left of the current starting player becomes the next round's starting player

Correct Mistakes

If an illegal die placement is discovered, remove dice until all placements are legal; removed dice are eliminated from the game (not returned to the bag)
