Compete as heroes seeking divine ascension by customizing dice with removable faces. Purchase upgraded die faces using gold, then roll for resources needed to complete challenging ordeals. Strategic dice modification and resource management determine victory as players race to accumulate the most glory points before opponents.

Get Ready

Setup the game with these step-by-step instructions before diving into your turn.

Prepare the box
Follow the instructions in the rulebook to set up the box as explained, which helps with each game setup

Lay out the Island board
Place the board on the table, which holds the cards

Position the Temple tray
Put the Temple tray (holds new die faces) in the top of the inset called Foundations

Connect components
Butt the box up against the Island board as shown in the rule book picture

Set up introductory game cards
Place cards with the blue dot on the back in their respective locations, matching the cost on the bottom of cards with the cost on the board

Place round marker
Put the round marker on the "1" space of the circle

Determine first player
The youngest player becomes first player

Distribute player components
Each player takes a Hero Inventory board with cubes placed in all "0" spaces, 1 hero pawn placed inside the round tracker circle on the Island board, and 2 dice

Configure starting dice
Dark die has 4 gold, 1 moon, 1 VP; Light die has 1 sun, 5 gold
10
Distribute starting gold
1st player takes 3 gold, 2nd takes 2, 3rd takes 1, last player takes nothing

Adjust for player count
See the rulebook for changes when playing with only 2 or 3 players

On Your Turn

What you can do during your turn.

Divine Blessing (all players)
ALL players roll their dice and earn rolled resources on EVERY player's turn

Resource types
Yellow nugget = Gold, Blue Moon icon = Moon Shard, Orange ember = Sun Shard, Green Laurel = Victory Points

Activate card abilities
Before choosing an action, the active player may activate any card with a cog symbol for its available effect

Choose one action
The active player takes 1 action: either Make an Offering OR Perform a Heroic Feat

Making an Offering to the Gods
Buy as many dice faces as you can from the Temple by spending gold

Perform a Heroic Feat
Spend resources shown on the board (moon/sun shards) to obtain 1 card and move your pawn to that location
7
Extra action option
Once per turn, before the turn ends, spend 2 sun shards to take a 2nd action of your choice
8
Resource overflow
Resources are lost if the tracker cube cannot move any further on the track
9
Pass turn
The next player goes in clockwise order
10
End of round
When all players have been active player, the round ends and the round marker advances

Winning

How to claim victory.

Game length
Play 9 rounds in a 2 or 4 player game, or 10 rounds in a 3 player game

Calculate final score
Add up victory points from your Inventory board and your cards
3
Determine winner
The player with the most points wins
4
Tie resolution
There is no tie breaker
