Players race to complete treasure maps on reusable wipeable cards in this fast-paced adventure game. Using simple mechanics that blend luck with strategic planning, you'll chart courses across multiple maps featuring distant islands and golden riches. Victory goes to whoever successfully finishes the most treasure maps through quick decision-making.

Get Ready

Setup the game with these step-by-step instructions before diving into your turn.

Distribute player materials

Give each player a marker and a score card, which they should place face up in front of them

Prepare treasure deck

Shuffle the Treasure Cards and deal four cards to each player

Select starting cards

Each player selects two of their four cards and places them face-up in front of them, discarding the remaining two cards back to the deck

Create treasure display

Shuffle all remaining treasure cards and place them face down in the middle of the table, then turn the top 4 cards face-up in a row

Prepare expedition deck

Shuffle the eight expedition cards and place them as a face down deck next to the displayed treasure cards

Determine first player

Whoever last searched for buried treasure becomes the start player

On Your Turn

What you can do during your turn.

Step 1: Reveal an expedition card

The first player reveals the top expedition card on the deck and places it face up next to the deck so it is clearly visible

Step 2: Cross off boxes

All players simultaneously cross off boxes on any one of their two treasure cards according to the pattern on the revealed expedition card

Handle X symbols

If a player crosses off a box with an X symbol, they must immediately cross off another empty box anywhere on any of their two incomplete treasure cards

Handle coin symbols

If a player crosses off a box with a coin symbol, they cross off the next empty box on their score card, starting with the left box in the top row and proceeding left to right

Handle palm tree symbols

If a player crosses off a box with a palm tree symbol, they immediately receive one point for the crossed off palm tree and one point for each palm tree visible on the 4 displayed treasure cards, recording this in the green palm tree score box

Step 3: Complete row of coins or treasure card

Any player who has completed one of their three rows of coins or one of their treasure cards announces this loudly and clearly

Refill display

The displayed cards are only refilled to four cards at the end of the players action by revealing the corresponding number of cards from the deck

Pass first player

After Step 3, the first player changes to the person sitting to their left

Winning

How to claim victory.

End of round

Seven of the eight expedition cards are revealed and used, leaving one expedition card not revealed and not used, then cross off the corresponding box on the round card

End of game

The game ends after four rounds when all seven turns are completed in each round

Score coin boxes

Each crossed off coin box earns one point

Score trophies

Each trophy earns as many points as the number on it

Score palm trees

The numbers of the four palm tree boxes are added together

Score completed treasure cards

Each completely filled treasure card earns as many points as indicated on the top left

Score seals

Seals on completed treasure cards earn one or two extra points for each separate, completed treasure card in that seal's color
