Medieval artisans compete to craft goods using production chains in this worker placement game. Players utilize randomly generated raw materials to manufacture items, construct buildings, and recruit assistants for victory points. The game concludes when someone builds eight structures, then players tally points from buildings and assistants to determine the winner.

Get Ready

Setup the game with these step-by-step instructions before diving into your turn.

Receive starting building

Each player begins with a Charburner building in their tableau

Draw initial hand

Each player draws cards to form their starting hand

On Your Turn

What you can do during your turn.

Manage hand cards

Keep all cards in hand OR discard all cards, then draw cards equal to amount discarded (variant: keep 1 card when discarding)

Draw additional cards

Each player takes 2 cards

Create morning market

Reveal 2 half sun cards to form the morning market

Move Assistant (optional)

Move an Assistant to another building by paying 2 coins

Place Worker

Assign your Worker to a building either efficiently or sloppily

Set aside Building (optional)

Place a Building card from hand face down on the table for later construction

Create afternoon market

Reveal 2 half sun cards to form the afternoon market

Produce Goods

Generate Goods on activated buildings using your Worker and Assistants (variant: discard 2 cards from hand to replace a missing resource)

Use Production Chain

Activate the production chain of your activated buildings

Build or Hire

Either build the Building that was set aside in Phase 2 OR hire an Assistant that matches colors of buildings in your tableau and place the Assistant immediately
