Players control two animals exploring the Kingdom of Pomme, racing to collect four trophies first. Each turn, choose Move, Seek, or Make actions to gather friendship and pies, complete quests, learn spells, deliver items to the castle, or engage in pie fights. This family-friendly adventure game features eight trophy categories to pursue victory.

Get Ready

Setup the game with these step-by-step instructions before diving into your turn.

Select difficulty level

Choose Automountie's difficulty before starting, which determines required tokens for trophies and pie track starting position

Determine home base positions

Place home bases according to total player count (human players + Automountie), so solo play uses 2-player positions

Prepare Automountie deck

Shuffle the 21 Automountie cards and place the deck near the game board

Set friendship marker

Place Automountie's friendship marker on position 5 of the friendship track, where it remains for the entire game

Set pie marker

Place Automountie's pie marker on the pie track according to the chosen difficulty level

Set up Automountie components

Place Automountie's components like a human player, but exclude the player mat, personality card, and spell card

Choose animal kingdom

Select an animal kingdom for Automountie

Designate main Seeker

Choose one of Automountie's two Seeker figures as the main Seeker

On Your Turn

What you can do during your turn.

Check trophy situation

At the start of Automountie's turn, verify if any Seeker has enough tokens (including quest tokens) to claim a trophy based on difficulty level

Claim trophy if eligible

Return tokens to supply in order: Quest tokens, Gems, Apples; place trophy on an empty trophy track space; end Automountie's turn

Draw Automountie card

Take the top card from the Automountie deck and place it face up

Earn pies

If the card shows pie icons, advance Automountie on the pie track by that amount; claim pie trophy if reaching 8 or higher

Seek resources

If the card shows a map image, place resources on the board according to the card's pattern; Automountie does not earn friendship points even if resources land on opponent spaces

Move Seekers

Move both Seekers starting with the main Seeker, following the path indicated on the card

Determine valid movement

Seekers move as far as possible along their path except: cannot move off the board, cannot enter Everfree Castle, cannot enter opponent Seeker's space if Automountie has fewer than 3 pies

Select optimal path

Automountie chooses the path yielding the most tokens (can be 0), including tokens winnable through pie wars

Break ties alphabetically

For main Seeker use A-F order; for secondary Seeker use reverse F-A order

Carry collected tokens

Seekers carry all tokens they have and collect any tokens along their path

Handle pie wars

When Automountie enters a pie war: choose your pie amount and spell cards normally, draw an Automountie card for their pie war value and spell card count, ignore other card sections

Recovery from loss

If Automountie loses a pie war, they always choose 2 pies for recovery

Reshuffle when empty

If the Automountie deck runs out, shuffle discarded cards to form a new draw pile

Final round check

After completing a normal turn in the finale, Automountie checks trophy eligibility if they have enough tokens

Winning

How to claim victory.

Standard victory conditions

Automountie wins or loses by the same rules as human players when claiming the first pie war trophy

Trophy completion

The game ends when one side has achieved all required trophies, followed by a final round

Team variant victory

In team mode, the game ends when one team achieves all trophies

Team tiebreaker

In case of tie, friendship points determine the winner; if still tied, total resources determine the winning team

Automountie team trophy sharing

If one Automountie completes all their trophies, they begin collecting trophies for teammates but cannot collect pie track or pie war trophies for others
