1
Follow opening turn restrictions
First player may play 1 card, Second player may play 2 cards, Third player is not limited
2
Proceed clockwise
Play begins with the first player and moves clockwise around the table
3
Interact with any opponent
You can target any opponent with your actions, not just one specific player
4
Choose targets for singular effects
Cards referencing a singular opponent allow the Active Player to choose the target
5
Apply global effects to all
Cards with global effects apply to all players simultaneously
6
Resolve passive abilities individually
Passive abilities and "EACH" enemy/opponent effects resolve against each opponent individually, clockwise from Active Player
7
Split effects when choosing multiple targets
When choosing multiple players, enemies, or opponents, effects can be split between all eligible players
8
Handle captured Æmber properly
When capturing from an opponent, place one of that player's Æmber on your creature
9
Return Æmber to original owner
If a creature leaves play with an opponent's Æmber on it, that Æmber returns to its original owner
10
Place self-captured Æmber on friendly creatures
If exalting or capturing your own Æmber, place one of your own Æmber on your creature
11
Decide Æmber destination when your creature leaves play
On your turn, you choose which opponent gains that Æmber; on opponent's turn, it goes to the player who removed the creature
12
Earn Boon Token by knocking out opponent
Place your Boon Token on your deck when you eliminate a player
13
Earn Boon Token by targeting previous player
If your Targeted Ability causes the previous player to lose Æmber from their pool or lose a Creature/Artifact from play, place Boon on deck
14
Earn Boon Token by stopping In-Check opponent
If your Targeted Ability prevents an opponent from forging a key at start of their turn, place Boon on deck
15
Resolve Boon during draw step
If you have a Boon token on your deck, discard it and draw +1 card that turn
16
Note Boon only applies with 3+ players
The Boon Token mechanic is only active while there are 3 or more players remaining
17
Track key cost increases
Place Damage Counters on Archon Card to mark persistent key cost increases or forge step skips until that player's turn starts
18
Re-forge instead of unforging opponent's key
If a card would unforge an opponent's key, instead re-forge one of your own keys
