For Sale is a fast-paced real estate game with two phases: auction and selling. Players bid on properties during the first phase, then sell them for maximum profit in the second phase. Victory goes to whoever earns the most money through strategic bidding and smart selling decisions.

Setup the game with these step-by-step instructions before diving into your turn.

Separate cards into two piles
Property Cards and Currency Cards

Shuffle each pile separately

Set aside Currency Cards (used in second half of game)

Place Property Cards face down as a deck

Buying Properties**

Reveal Property Cards equal to the number of players
3
Player who lives in the largest house starts by placing any number of coins as a bid
4
Play continues clockwise; each subsequent bid must exceed the previous bid

Passing:
Take the lowest-valued remaining property and receive half your bid back (rounded down); rest goes to the bank

Winning the auction:
Last remaining bidder pays full bid to the bank and takes the highest-valued property
7
You may pass without bidding to take the lowest property for free
8
Purchased properties are placed face down in front of players
9
Winner of highest property reveals next set of cards and starts next auction

Continue until all Property Cards are sold; keep unused coins

Selling Properties**

Reveal Currency Cards equal to the number of players

All players simultaneously select one Property Card and place it face down

Reveal all Property Cards at once

Highest Property Card takes highest Currency Card; second highest takes second highest, etc.

Game ends when all players have sold all their Property Cards
