1-4 players 10-20 min 7.6 Board Game Geek Rating

Heroines with unique powers battle in this real-time puzzle game. Players simultaneously place colored bullets in columns, manipulate them with actions, and match patterns to launch attacks at opponents. As bullets accumulate from a central bag and enemy fire, gameplay intensifies each turn. Victory requires surviving longer than rivals through strategic bullet placement and pattern execution.

Get Ready

Setup the game with these step-by-step instructions before diving into your turn.

Choose heroine boards
Each player chooses a set of heroine boards

Place AP marker
Place your AP marker at the top of the AP track

Shuffle heroine patterns
Shuffle all patterns associated with your heroine

Draw starting patterns
Draw 3 patterns face up in front of you

Perform heroine setup
Perform any unique setup for your heroine

Prepare bullet pool
Put all bullets into the center and shuffle them

Draw starting bullets
Draw 10 bullets from the center into your current

Place team actions
Place a set of 3 team actions into your powerup slots (not used in solo)

Choose boss boards
Choose a set of boss boards

Shuffle boss patterns
Shuffle the boss' patterns and put them into the boss' pattern deck area

Reveal boss pattern
Reveal the top pattern into the active pattern area
12
Place boss shields
Place shields on every shield slot on the boss' board (besides the topmost slot)

Perform boss setup
Perform any unique setup for the boss

On Your Turn

What you can do during your turn.

Place bullets
Position bullets on your board

Use actions
Spend AP to perform available actions

Use patterns
Play pattern cards from your hand
4
Use team actions
Activate team action cards (not in solo)

Clear bullets
Place cleared bullets in the boss' incoming
6
Place all bullets
Be sure to place ALL bullets on your board
7
Draw patterns
Draw patterns up to your hand size (normally 3)
8
Reset AP
Reset your Action Points to full

Activate pattern
Perform the effect on the active pattern card to each heroine who did not complete the pattern (no rotating/mirroring)
10
Break shields
If the total number of bullets in the boss' incoming meets the break point of a shield, break the shield

Continue breaking
Continue breaking shields until the bullets left cannot break another shield
12
Resolve broken shields
If any shields were broken, put all bullets in the center and perform all effects on newly-broken shield slots in order
13
Carry over bullets
If no shields were broken, all bullets remain in the boss' incoming for next round
14
Prepare next round
Put bullets from the center into your current equal to the Intensity number listed on the bottommost revealed shield slot
15
Draw new boss pattern
Draw a new pattern card for the boss, replacing the old one

Winning

How to claim victory.

1
Heroines win
If the boss ever has no shields, then the heroines win at the end of the boss round (if they survive)
2
Heroine loses
If a heroine ever has no life, they lose immediately
3
Eliminated heroine cleanup
They place ALL bullets back into the center and remove their board from the game
4
Adjust shield break requirement
From the next round on, the amount needed to break a shield is designated by the number of remaining heroines
5
Boss wins
If all heroines have lost, then the boss wins
