Arcadia Quest

2-4 players 60-60 min 7.6 Board Game Geek Rating

Teams of three heroes compete to liberate Arcadia from a vampire lord while battling each other and monsters. This campaign-driven adventure spans six customizable scenarios from eleven options. Players complete quests to advance, earning weapons and abilities along the way. Victory requires strategic quest completion and tactical combat across multiple interconnected scenarios.

Get Ready

Setup the game with these step-by-step instructions before diving into your turn.

1
Select the Vampire Guild
Take the purple board (Bats), the cards of Lord Croc, Lilith, and Lydia, along with their corresponding miniatures

Gather Guild components
Collect the 3 purple pedestals and the Vampire Guild tokens

Equip starting weapons
Collect from the Level 5 Upgrade Cards deck: The Poker (5-01), The Coup au But (5-02), Astral Strike II (5-05), The Dragon Heart (5-10), The Crown of Revelation (5-13), and The Orb of Genesis II (5-16)

Distribute Vampire equipment
Divide the six starting equipment cards as desired between your three Vampires

Setup other Guilds
Other players share the 4 Guilds from the base game, collecting equipment of their Guild color and distributing Heroes

Equip Hero Guilds
Give each Hero Guild a Starter Equipment Upgrade card: Rusty Blade, Left Hand, Slingshot, Life Drain, and Lightning Nova for their 3 Heroes

Determine play order
The Vampire Guild player should always be the last player in turn order

Place Monsters
The Vampire Guild player places Monsters on the Generation Board according to the scenario

On Your Turn

What you can do during your turn.

Activate one Vampire
Choose only one of your three Vampires to activate (activating the same Vampire repeatedly is allowed)

Perform Movement
Each Vampire has 3 movement points to spend

Avoid Protect Reactions
Vampires do not trigger Protect Reactions when they move

Open or close doors
Vampires can open or close any door and use any gate

Collect Exploration tokens
When on the same space as a token with no enemy present, automatically retrieve it

Declare attacks
Attack an enemy Hero or a Monster, but only attack Monsters if killing them completes a PvE Quest

Deplete attack cards
Exhaust attack cards as indicated in the Heroes rules

Control Monster reactions
Activate Monsters for Guard Reactions or Payback Reactions against Hero attacks

Perform Unfair Reactions
When a Hero Guild rests, activate one non-Quest Monster to move (no attack)

Generate Monsters
Place Monsters and perform Generations, except for final confrontation Monsters
11
Rest the Guild
Pass your turn to remove Guild tokens from all cards, rearrange objects, and resurrect Vampires

Winning

How to claim victory.

1
Complete all PvP Quests
The Vampire Guild must complete all PvP Quests against enemy Heroes
2
Complete at least one PvE Quest
The Vampire Guild must also complete at least one PvE Quest in the current scenario

Track Vampire deaths
Each time a Vampire is killed, place a Guild token on that Vampire's coffin on the "Destroy the Vampires" quest card

Hero Guild victory condition
When all coffins accumulate 3 Guild tokens total, the Hero Guilds complete the "Destroy the Vampires" Quest

Hero Guild requirements
Allied Guild Heroes must complete at least one PvE Quest and the PvP Quest "Destroy the Vampires"
6
Earn coins from kills
When a Vampire kills an Enemy Hero, the Vampire Guild receives one coin
7
Benefit from Monster kills
When a Hero is killed by a Monster or neutral element, only the Vampire Guild receives a coin
8
Ignore Deadly Curses
Vampires are fortunate not to be affected by Deadly Curses
9
Resurrect fallen Vampires
Return slain Vampires to the Guild Start Zone or In Contact with another Vampire already on the board
