In this solo deck-building game, you're Friday helping the shipwrecked Robinson Crusoe survive your island. Get Ready

Setup the game with these step-by-step instructions before diving into your turn.

1
Place step tracker
Put a tracker on the Step counter card to indicate which step the game is in, starting in the 'green' step 'one'
2
Sort Drama/Trauma cards
Separate the 11 black Drama/Trauma cards into two piles: 7 normal Drama cards and 3 difficult Trauma cards
3
Prepare Drama/Trauma deck
Shuffle these two decks separately, then stack the face-down Drama cards on top of the face-down Trauma cards
4
Prepare Fighting deck
Shuffle the 18 blue 'basic Scott' Fighting starting cards and place them face-down as your initial Fighting deck
5
Set aside discard space
Reserve space for a Fighting discard pile and a World discard pile
6
Prepare World deck
Shuffle the 30 World cards and place them face-down
7
Select Evil Exes
Shuffle the 10 Evil Exes cards, draw two random cards and place them face-up next to your play area as your end-game opponents, returning the rest to the box
8
Set starting life points
Place a tracker on the Life Points counter card to indicate 'twenty' life points

On Your Turn

What you can do during your turn.

1
Phase 1 - Draw World cards
Draw 2 cards from the face-down World draw deck
2
Choose World opponent
Select one card to fight and discard the other to the World discard pile, placing the chosen World card in front of you
3
Phase 2 - Draw free Fighting cards
Draw 1 Fighting card and place it to the left of the World card, continuing to draw free cards until you match or exceed the World value
4
Pay for additional cards
After drawing the maximum free cards, each additional Fighting card costs 1 life point tracked on the Life Points card and placed to the right of the World card
5
Use special abilities
After drawing each Fighting card, decide to use any face-up Fighting card's special ability in any order
6
Stop drawing strategically
After drawing at least one Fighting card, you may stop drawing even if you haven't beaten the World to preserve won cards or remove weaker cards
7
End the fight
Fights do not end automatically; you must decide when to end by comparing your total fighting value with the current World value
8
Phase 3 - Win the fight
If your fighting value matches or exceeds the World value, discard all Fighting cards to the Fighting discard pile and the World card to the Fighting discard pile as an 'Experience' card
9
Phase 3 - Lose the fight
If you lose, determine the difference between World value and your fighting value, then lose that many life points
10
Remove cards when losing
For each life point lost, you may choose one Fighting card used in the current fight to permanently remove from the game
11
Reshuffle when deck exhausted
When the World draw deck is exhausted, shuffle the World discard pile to form a new face-down draw deck and advance to a new step
12
Form new Fighting deck
If you have completely cycled through the available Fighting cards, the undefeated World card and remaining Fighting cards go into the Fighting discard pile, then form a new deck from the Fighting discard pile
13
Add Drama/Trauma when reshuffling
Before forming a new Fighting deck, add one Drama/Trauma card from the top of the Drama/Trauma pile, shuffle the Fighting cards, and place face-down without looking

Winning

How to claim victory.

1
Defeat the Evil Exes
After surviving the Drama/Trauma challenges, face the two Evil Exes placed during setup in a final battle
2
Track World card strength
The strength of each World card is determined by the number matching the current step color (green, yellow, or red) shown on the Step card
3
Gain Experience cards
Defeated World cards become Fighting cards with higher fighting values and special abilities that can be reused
4
Lose the game
If your life points reach zero, you lose the game
5
Remove Drama/Trauma cards
You may discard as many cards as you wish, up to the number of life points lost, with at least two life points required to remove a Drama/Trauma card
