Understand the dual identity
The killer has two identities (Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde); both are considered killers when resolving card effects that mention "the killer"

Check the identity card
The identity card indicates whether the killer is currently Dr. Jekyll or Mr. Hyde and reminds you when to check for transformation

Resolve the Convince action (Dr. Jekyll)
When Dr. Jekyll performs the Convince action, place one victim from his space onto his identity card

Resolve the Lure action (Dr. Jekyll)
Place a victim on each empty space adjacent to Dr. Jekyll

Respect Dr. Jekyll's status
You cannot perform actions that directly harm Dr. Jekyll (such as Furious Strike) or use weapon items against him

Handle terror cards with Dr. Jekyll
Terror card effects referring to the killer refer to Dr. Jekyll, but the action on terror cards cannot be performed by Dr. Jekyll

Note Dr. Jekyll's vulnerability
Dr. Jekyll can die if Self-Destruct is activated

Play Mr. Hyde as a regular killer
Mr. Hyde works like a standard killer in the base game

Track havoc tokens
Whenever Mr. Hyde kills a victim or deals damage to you, place a havoc token (heart token) on his identity card

Ignore terror card damage for havoc
If a terror card deals damage to you but it's not the killer attacking, do not place a havoc token

Check for Mr. Hyde's transformation
After the killer action and after resolving a terror card, count havoc tokens on Mr. Hyde's identity card

Handle mid-action transformation
Mr. Hyde may place the third havoc token during his killer action, transforming him and causing him to resolve the Dr. Jekyll side of the terror card

Resolve terror cards by identity
Terror cards have two parts: resolve the blue part if the killer is Dr. Jekyll, resolve the green part if it is Mr. Hyde

Use the Investigate action
When on a searchable space, look at the cards in the item deck on your space, then shuffle that deck

Collect the compounds
Compounds A, B, and C are special items you may find while searching

Use the White Potion
After dealing damage to Mr. Hyde, you may discard the White Potion to cure him and win the game
