3-8 players 20-40 min 6.8 Board Game Geek Rating

Players explore dangerous mines by revealing cards that contain gems or hazards. Gems are divided equally among active explorers, with extras left behind. Before each new card, players choose to continue deeper or retreat with their current gems. When the same hazard appears twice, remaining players lose everything. Solo retreaters collect abandoned gems and valuable artifacts, creating risk-versus-reward decisions.

Setup the game with these step-by-step instructions before diving into your turn.

Place the AI meeple
Position a meeple for the AI player on top of the current temple card (1-5) to indicate they are inside the temple

Prepare the AI tent
Set up a tent area for the AI player where their collected treasures will be stored
3
Gather required components
Ensure you have the Incan Gold base game and a six-sided die

On Your Turn

What you can do during your turn.

Human players decide first
Both human players simultaneously choose whether to stay in the temple or leave

Reveal decisions
Players show their choices to each other by dropping/holding their meeple or displaying stay/leave cards
3
Calculate AI fear/greed value
Determine the AI's probability of leaving by starting at zero and adding modifiers
4
Roll for AI decision
Roll the six-sided die to determine the AI's choice
5
Move AI meeple when leaving
Place the AI meeple next to their tent when they exit the temple, just like other players

Winning

How to claim victory.

Standard victory condition
The game follows the standard Incan Gold rules where the player with the most treasures collected in their tent after five temple expeditions wins
